CIM# CARGO

Dates: 10.12.2007 - 29.12.2007. Title: Open Work | Project 07 - CIM# CARGO. Conception: Collective Exhibition. Location: Communications Museum, 16, Rua do Instituto Industrial. 1200-225 Lisbon, Portugal. Focus attention on the architectural and mechanical elements of the cement industry. The manufacture structures in its functional constitution and the set of mechanical devices that work without ceasing are presented as producing food antechambers (cement) that guarantees the progress of the developed societies. This way they consist of development matrix as we can see in them the sped-up rhythm of the contemporary life and the artificial aesthetic of today’s buildings. What the installation composed by a video in Loop and by a set of realistic photographs, expresses is summarised in the following inevitability: materials thus produced, thus are societies produced.
